Perc Test Done in Prattville Al

Alabama Surveying and Mapping provided a perc test for our customer in Prattville Alabama. We checked the soil for proposed septic tank system.
Most people think perc test is all about the rate water percs in a test hole, thats part of the equation but actually its the profile of the soil and the slope of the land. Too sandy, too much gley, mottles, etc. are not good characteristics for septic. If bad soil is discovered then other options are available although the cost rises. Example....Mound system, shallow placement, engineered system, pump system.
