Land surveying in Prattville, AL
Licensed land surveying for Prattville and Autauga County – boundary surveys for buyers and sellers, staking and site plans for new homes, and FEMA elevation certificates near Autauga Creek and the Alabama River.

Land surveying for a growing Prattville
Prattville has grown from a mill town on Autauga Creek into one of the busiest residential markets in the Montgomery area. New subdivisions, homes going up on former farmland and commercial development along the main corridors all start the same way – with a survey. We drive down I-65 from our Clanton office for boundary surveys, staking and permits throughout Prattville and Autauga County, and into neighboring Millbrook and the Elmore County side of town.
Flood zones: Autauga Creek and the Alabama River
Autauga Creek runs right through downtown Prattville, and the Alabama River forms the southern edge of the county. Properties near the creek, its tributaries and the river may sit in a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area. If your lender requires flood insurance, an elevation certificate shows how high your lowest floor really is – the first step to challenge a flood zone determination or lower the premium.
Rural lots and septic systems
Outside the city limits, many lots depend on a septic system – and that depends on the soil. In April 2019 we did a perc test in Prattville for a customer’s proposed septic tank system. As Randy explains there, it is not only how fast water percolates in the test hole: the soil profile and the slope of the land decide whether a conventional system works or an engineered, mound or pump system is needed.

Great experience. I deal with residential surveyors on a regular basis, but when I purchased a tract of land, Randy was recommended by the bank, and turned out to be very responsive, was able to do the job on a very tight schedule, and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him for any surveying you need.
